We would like to invite you to participate in the annual conference of Eurodoc, the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers, which will be held on March 31st – April 4th, 2011 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The registration for the participants is now open and you can register at http://eurodoc2011.ljms.lt/articles/20/registration. Registration for the conference will be open until February 11th.
About the Conference
Ever since 2002, young researchers, doctoral candidates and policy makers from all over Europe, come together to take part in Eurodoc’s annual conference. In 2011, the conference will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania. Here young researchers will meet with European political and economical leaders and engage in fruitful discussions on attraction and retention of new generations for science and innovation. The conference aims to unravel the relationships between research traditions and young people demand for change.
Arrival and Departure
We recommend you to come to Vilnius for April 1st -2nd (if to come only for conference (if you want to stay any time longer, you are welcome!). The program starts with an informal Eurodoc welcoming session for Eurodoc delegates on Thursday evening. The event will host an interesting 2-days conference on new generations of researchers in the European Research Area. After the Annual Conference, the Eurodoc’s Annual General Meeting will take place from the afternoon of Saturday, April 2nd and until the evening of Sunday, April 3rd. The last day, April 4th will be reserved for sightseeing and saying farewell to new-made friends.

Costs
There is no formal registration fee, but any contribution to support the work of Eurodoc is welcome. Accommodation for participants might cost 15-30 Eur per night, subject to availability of rooms: http://www.hostelbookers.com/hostels/lithuania/vilnius/
Other
During the conference institutions, projects and companies will present their activities by stands and posters.
