A postdoctoral fellowship is available in the MiToLab-UGR (http://wpd.ugr.es/~luisca/), which is located in the Biomedical Research Center of the PTS Granada (http://en.ptsgranada.com/). The postdoc will be involved in a MDA-funded project focuses in the evaluation of new pharmacological treatments for mitochondrial diseases, using cellular and animals models for that purpose. The focus of the work will be a combination of approaches, including cell culture, animal phenotyping, in vivo analysis, histopathology, mitochondrial biology and omics technologies.
We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers with demonstrated research achievement and who ultimately wish to pursue careers in either academia or Industry. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with a team of researchers in Granada and with collaborating laboratories in Europe and USA.Duration: Up to 3 years
Annual Salary: 30.500 € - 32.000 €

o PhD in the area of Biomedine
o Strong background in Biomedical research. Experience in mitochondrial biology and mitochondrial medicine will be an advantage.
o Good publications record.
o Proven experience in working with animal models and cell culture.
o Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
o Strong sense of responsibility, initiative and self-motivation as key personal abilities.
