Postdoctoral position in regulatory and evolutionary genomics in Tanya Vavouri's group at the Institute of Predictive and Personalized Medicine of Cancer (IMPPC), Badalona, Barcelona.
We are looking for a post-doctoral research fellow to work on a project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. In our new lab we are interested in chromatin organization, gene regulation, and genome evolution. We have recently analyzed genome-scale datasets to study the packaging of the human genome in the male germline, dosage-sensitivity, the stability of genetic redundancy between duplicated genes and the function
and evolution of highly conserved non-coding elements. The successful candidate will use available chromatin and functional genomic datasets to study the chromatin organization at regulatory regions in animal genomes. In addition, he/she will be encouraged to develop their own research ideas along the lines of the research interests of the group.
