POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN STATISTICAL GENETICS
University Grade 7: £28,983 to £35,646We are seeking to appoint a Post-doctoral Research Associate in Statistical Genetics to join Dr. Eleftheria Zeggini's group based at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. The successful applicant will form part of a team working to understand the role of rare variants in common complex disease. This position will be based at The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, Cambridge.
The successful candidate will be appointed as part of a Pfizer-funded project, and will have overall responsibility for the statistical analysis of this high-profile study, including liaison with, and reporting to the full range of collaborative partners. We are looking to appoint someone with strong analytical skills and a relevant postgraduate degree. Experience in the generation, management and analysis of simulated genetic datasets is essential.
The post is available for 12 months in the first instance, with the possibility of a further 3 years extension.
