POSTDOCTORAL POSITION - Organometallic Chemistry

DESCRIPTION
The applicant will work on the development of novel metal catalyzed processes to assemble heterocyclic products from acyclic starting materials.
We will mainly explore methods involving the activation of C-H bonds.

The work will be carried out under the supervision of Prof. José Luis Mascareñas (ERC-Advanced Grant) and Dr. Moisés Gulías.

Starting Date and Term: The post is available starting from October 2015 for a fixed-term of 12 months in the first instance, with the possibility of extension for other 12 months.

REQUIREMENTS
We seek outstanding individuals with initiative, creativity and team‐working ability, with PhD in Organic Chemistry, and training in synthesis and organometallic chemistry.

Experience in inorganic chemistry and catalysis will be highly considered.

Good communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English are essential.
