Buscamos un/a candidato/a para cubrir una plaza de postdoc en el grupo de la Prof. Núria López en el ICIQ, Tarragona, incorporación inmediata.
We are looking for a person with a solid background in Physics/Computational Chemistry / Materials who has an interest in atomic-scale modelling and has performed studies and simulations applying density functional theory and microkinetic modelling, as well as electronic structure calculations by using periodic ab initio codes.
Proyecto:
Challenging collaborative European Union project on Theoretical Heterogeneous Catalysis that involves simulations for electrochemical reactions in renewable energy conversion to chemicals and fuels through computational modeling with Density Functional Theory and advanced computational techniques and machine learning concepts. The candidate needs to have an interest in atomic-scale modelling and to have performed studies and simulations applying density functional theory and electronic structure calculations by using periodic ab initio codes.
Requirements
Strong expertise in the use of periodic DFT, VASP, QE and related codes.
Finished PhD in Physics or Physical Chemistry
Previous experience in the use of HPC resources.
The selected candidate should be a motivated, open-minded, highly dynamic and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
Proven excellent knowledge of English (desirable C1 level, IELTS 7.0-7.5). Able to write scientific articles and reports in good English.
