Seeking Candidates for the Sara Borrell Postdoctoral Fellowship

We are seeking candidates to apply for the SARA BORRELL 2024 contract awarded by the National Institute of Health Carlos III (ISCIII), via the Strategic Action in Health 2024 (Acción Estratégica en Salud). The aim of this contract is to recruit recently graduated doctoral personnel and to enhance their training in the field of health sciences and technologies.

The candidate will join the Vascular and Renal Translational Research Group of the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida (IRBLLEIDA), in the area of Kidney disease, Aging and Regeneration, under the supervision of Dr. Milica Bozic. The selected candidate would work on identification of key non-coding RNAs involved in the development of chronic kidney disease, or on deciphering cellular and molecular mechanisms of acute kidney injury and regeneration.

Skills/Qualifications
We seek a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate with the PhD in Biomedicine/Life Sciences, or related areas (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology. etc.). Applicants should have an experience in molecular biology and cell biology techniques, cell culture and animal manipulation (murine model). Candidates should be self-motivated, hardworking, well organized and with the high level of written and spoken English. Applicants are encouraged to highlight any prior research experience that could be relevant. Good record of research achievements and publications is required with minimum 2 publications as a first author. Applicants should demonstrate international experience and research stays. High level of collaborative and communicative skills is desirable.

Specific Requirements
PhD in Biomedicine/Life Sciences, or related areas (Biology, Biochemistry, etc.). The PhD must be obtained after the 1st of January 2020.
