A postdoctoral position is available at the Laboratory of Experimental Allergy and Immunodermatology, Department of Dermatology and Allergy, University Bonn Medical School, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Natalija Novak. The position is available from June 1st, 2022 and is funded for 3 years. The project will be carried out in cooperation with Dr. Beatriz Cabanillas, Research Institute Hospital 12 de Octubre.
The research focus of our group is on the characterization of cellular and molecular mechanisms of allergic diseases, and the project specifically focuses on the study of peanut allergy and the sensitization potential of peanut allergens through the skin. We are conducting our studies in models using primary human cells from blood and skin samples as well as cell lines. We are utilizing technologies in cell biology, biochemistry, and histology.
The ideal candidate should have a recent Ph.D. title, should be a highly motivated, determined, and team-oriented person with a strong interest in immunology, allergology, and disease pathogenesis with a background in molecular biology. The candidate should have a good record of scientific publications and should be fluent in spoken and written English.
