CANDIDATES WANTED FOR PRE-DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIP
Candidates are being sought for a “Santiago Grisolía” predoctoral contract (Conselleria d'Innovació, Universitats, Ciència i Societat Digital, Generalitat Valenciana) in the "Central Nervous System Tumors Research Group" of the Department of Pathology of the University of Valencia, Spain.
The aim of the contract is to carry out the doctoral thesis on the study of the interplay between EGFR amplification, metabolic reprogramming, vascular microenvironment and cellular states in human wt-GBM. The thesis work includes molecular and cellular biology techniques, study of clinical samples, development of animal models and bioinformatic analysis to identify biomarkers and elucidate mechanisms involved.
CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT
The specific conditions of the contract are marked by the funding program (https://innova.gva.es/va/web/ciencia/a-programa-i-d-i1, check Santiago Grisolia program). The salary will be around 17,000 euros/year during the first 3 years and around 20,000 euros the last year. The contract will have a maximum duration of 4 years. If thesis is defended before de end of the fourth year, the contract will become a postdoctoral contract for a maximum of one year. The contract will start on September 16th 2021.
Graduates in Biology, Pharmacy or degrees related to biomedical sciences obtained in a country out of the European Union and qualified to join Spanish Doctorate Programs RD99 / 11 (have a qualification of 300 ECTS in all university studies of which at least 60 ECTS must be university master's degrees ).
