Pre/Postdoc positions at Membrane Nanomechanics group (Biofisika Institute (CSIC, UPV/EHU), Bilbao

The group of Membrane Nanomechanics @ the Biofisika Institute (CSIC, UPV/EHU) is searching for outstanding candidates for pre/post-doctoral positions. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a background in physics, chemistry or (bio)technology. We expect proficiency in English and professional dedication. For pre-docs average mark higher than 8 and some lab experience are desirable. You will participate in international multidisciplinary projects aimed at understanding how proteins sculpt, remodel and break cellular membranes. You will have the opportunity to study and exploit cutting-edge research methodology, including single-molecule fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy, optical tweezers, quantitative electrochemistry, and nanotechnology, while also benefit from different in-house programs aimed at improving your scientific communication/writing skills, research planning, and quantitative data analyses. Our group has a solid trajectory in the fields of membrane biophysics and nanomechanics, the ongoing research projects are funded by national and international agencies.
