PostDoc Research Fellow in Plant Biochemistry
We seek candidates to apply for the JAE-CSIC Postdoctoral (Spanish Research Council) and Juan de la Cierva Program (Ministry for Science and Innovation). Candidates should have a PhD, obtained no more than 3 years ago, in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or other relevant discipline. Previous experience on basic molecular biology and protein biochemistry is required. Knowledge on Structural Biology, Plant Physiology, Biophysics and/or Bioinformatics is desirable.
Monica Balsera's group is based in Salamanca (Spain) at the Institute for Natural Resources and Agrobiology that belongs to the Spanish Research Council network and is strongly linked to the University of Salamanca. The project deals with the molecular characterization of redox signaling networks in plant cells and, particularly, on the molecular mechanisms by which reactive oxygen species in plastids activates signaling cascades that ultimately results in a nuclear response for environmental adaptation.
Interested candidates should contact Dr. Monica Balsera (monica.balsera@irnasa.csic.es) enclosing their curriculum vitae, a brief description of their research interests and the contact details of two references.
Closing date for applications: 2nd February (JAE-CSIC) and 11th February 2011 (Juan de la Cierva).- ItemID
