Postdoctoral Position at Mount Sinai School of Medicine- New York
A post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Bravo-Cordero
in the Tisch Cancer Institute, Division of Hematology/Medical Oncology and
Department of Medicine at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai –New
York (US).
A PhD in molecular or cell biology is required, with preference for a strong
background in cancer biology, and particular emphasis in signaling, tumor cell
migration and invasion. Skills on developing analytical and imaging techniques to
study biological processes, as well as experience with animal models will be
highly valued.
Our focus is on understanding the mechanisms of tumor cell dissemination
during metastasis; using a strong combination of: -microscopy techniques (in
vivo multiphoton, confocal and FRET microscopy), -analytical imaging
approaches, as well as -molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
The candidate will have a unique opportunity to work in a stimulating
scientific environment in a top-notch institution in the US.
Qualifications
• Highly motivated and creative Ph.D., with the ability to apply for postdoctoral
fellowships.
• The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as demonstrate a
strong commitment to team based work.
