A Ph.D. student position is available in our research team at the Institute of Neurosciences (San Juan de Alicante, Spain).
Our research focuses on the role of transcriptional and epigenetic regulation in neuronal plasticity and neuropathology. To this end, our laboratory applies a multidisciplinary approach that combines molecular biology, mouse genetics, genomics and behavior.
Specifically, we are looking for an outstanding student with a degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Biotechnology (or equivalent) and a Master in Neurosciences or Bioinformatics. Applicants must have an excellent academic record (average >2,5/8,0). The applicants must also have an official certificate for working with experimental animals.
Previous experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques and good knowledge of biostatistics will be also valued. Funding is available for an initial period of 12 months, with the plan of extending it by conducting a PhD thesis.
