Applications are invited for 14 PhD positions (“Early Stage Researchers”) in the framwork of a H2020 Marie Curie ITN project (GreenCarbon, MSCA-ITN-2016-ETN).
Research Fields: Thermochemical conversion of biomass (pyrolysis and hydrothermal carbonisation), Functionalisation and porosity development of produced chars, Application of resulting tailor-made carbon materials in heterogeneous catalysis and adsorption (e.g., CO2 capture in post-combustion), Application of produced chars as soil enhancers and CO2 sequestration agents.
The successful candidates will receive an attractive salary in accordance with the MSCA regulations for early stage researchers. In addition to their individual scientific projects, all fellows will benefit from further continuing education, which includes internships and secondments, a variety of training modules as well as transferable skills courses and active participation in workshops and conferences.
