Postdoc Position at IMDEA NANOCIENCIA (Madrid): SURFACE SCIENCE
The Postdoc candidate will work on the FET Proactive Project entitled "Artificial Leaf" targeting to design a photo-electro-catalytic cell for direct conversion of water and carbon dioxide into chemicals and oxygen using exclusively solar energy.
The researcher will focus on surface sciences, designing metal oxide catalysts and characterizing them with surface science techniques, including scanning probe microscopies, photo-electron spectroscopies and temperature programmed desorption.
The duration of the contract will be of three years, starting the 1st of January, 2017.
A PhD degree in chemistry/physics/engineering is necessary and expertise in ultra-high vacuum and surface science will be highly appreciated.
