This pre-doctoral research post is framed within the TERESA project, a joint research initiative along with the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC, in Barcelona) and the Universidad Carlos III (UC3M in Madrid). This project, funded by the Spanish government, is addressing the technological challenges of hybrid networks (ultradense cellular, satellite and visible light) in a beyond 5G context. More specifically, the team at UIB is looking at novel ultradense network deployments such as those based on cloud-RAN and cell-free architectures at both sub 6-GHz and mmWave frequencies, with specific focus on the physical layer processing and resource management techniques. The selected candidate is expected to follow the research training program at UIB’s doctoral school and to enroll in the PhD program.

-Master in Electrical/Telecommunication Engineering
-Good analytical skills (background and interest in signal processing, communication theory and mathematical sciences)
-Excellent English level (oral and written)
