The Helmholtz Center in Munich is a member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres, a leading association Europe-wide, focusing on "Environmental Health".
The new research group “Systems Biology of Small Molecules” led by Dr. Mónica Campillos at the Helmholtz Center in Munich has Ph.Ds and postdoctoral positions open available immediately.
We expect the successful candidates to develop computational methods to integrate existing datasets from small molecules and proteins with new data generated in collaboration with experimental groups. The final goal is to understand better the mode of action of small molecules in biological systems, their phenotypic effects and to predict their impact on human diseases.
We welcome applications with a Diploma/Master or equivalent degree preferably in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or Chemistry/Biology with a computational component. Programming skills and interest on biology are mandatory.
Highly motivated candidates can apply by sending a cover letter, CV and names and contact information of three references to monica.campillos en helmholtz-muenchen.de.
Payment will be according to the German TVöD
